Cole Larsen
Cole Larsen is currently the Coordinator of Screen Production and Natural History Film-Making.
Cole initially trained in acting, television and film before transferring to journalism and Aboriginal studies in the mid 1980s. He worked as a research journalist and photojournalist for ten years before returning to study at Flinders University.
After completing a postgraduate diploma in Screen Studies in 1995 he worked in commercial television, health and educational documentary and advertising. He has been working in the Screen Studies department since 2003.

Research interests:
Cole’s main areas of interest are experimental narrative and fiction. He has worked extensively on site in the Australian landscape and in 2006 received an Australia Council grant for a residency and exhibition of experimental art narratives in Singapore.
Cole Larsen is currently working on a creative PhD project to develop a low budget feature film model for the university environment. He is writing a 30,000 word thesis and will collaborate on a feature film project as a director. He is working with fellow PhD candidate Tom Young, who is working from a producer's perspective. The production component of the project will take place in late 2009 or early 2010.
