If you want to take one of these topics as a cognate, you should note the prerequisites for it. Legal Studies uses prerequisites not to exclude students from its topics, but because we believe that some topics require particular skills or knowledge before you can study them effectively. If you can not meet prerequisites for a particular topic, but believe that there is a good reason why you might be admitted to it, we would encourage you to speak to the convenor of the topic.
