(Presenters note : The seminar will look at evidence based policy development in crime prevention and why politicians don't rely on evidence to make policy to reduce crime. I use cost benefit analysis to look at the evidence about outcomes from various crime prevention programs such as early intervention with mothers and young families through to boot camps for young offenders.
