Lesley was awarded an honours degree in Scots Law from the University of Dundee in Scotland. After graduating in July 2000, she began work in an Edinburgh-based law firm where she specialised in remortgages.
In February 2003, she joined Flinders Law School as a post-graduate student and was awarded her LLM in 2005. Her Masters thesis is entitled 'Sustaining Meaningful Environments: The Integration of a Modern Heritage Philosophy into South Australian Heritage Law'.
Lesley's research interests include heritage law, planning law, property law and animal law.
A commitment to quality and innovation is at the heart of Lesley’s teaching and she is currently involved in a Flinders Teaching and Learning Innovation Grant project to redesign the first year Legal Method topic. Lesley has experience in teaching Legal Method, Property Law Concepts, Trusts & Assignments and is topic coordinator of the Land Use Planning elective. She is also the Law School’s Indigenous and International Student Tutor.
In 2008, Lesley will be coordinating the Law School's Peer Mentoring Program — an eight week program that aims to assist students with transition to life in the Law School.
