Frances Meredith

Frances has an extensive background in policy and advocacy work in labour and employment relations. She was an adjudicator of statutory entitlement disputes in workers’ compensation for more than five years, the principal author of the independent review of the workers’ compensation system in South Australia in 2002, and the manager of a worker advocacy unit. She has special interests in the regulation of occupational health and safety and in the design of workers’ compensation systems.

Since October 2007 Frances has been working as a volunteer at An Giang University in Vietnam on social research programs, learning Vietnamese and enjoying the local cuisine.
