Elizabeth Handsley BA, LLB(UNSW), LLM(Northwestern)
Associate Professor
Elizabeth Handsley joined the School of Law in 1996, and has worked also at universities in Sydney and Perth. Her teaching and research interests span the fields of torts, public law and media law, especially the law on children and the media. A major research focus recently has been an international study on the regulation of food advertising to children and she also has a long-standing interest in matters relating to the judiciary, including systems for selecting and training judges. She spent second semester 2007 as a Visiting Professor at the University of Poitiers, researching the training of judicial officers in France.
