Bibi Sangha graduated with honours in law from Middlesex University in the UK and went on to take her Masters Degree at the London School of Economics. She was called to the Bar at Lincoln’s Inn in London, and has since been admitted to practice as a barrister and solicitor in Malaysia, and in the Australian Capital Territory. She has significant interests in the area of contract, commercial law and comparative Asian law. She has been in private practice in Malaysia and she appeared before the Privy Council in London in the last case on appeal from Malaysia. She taught a wide range of subjects at Sunway College in Malaysia and the Australian National University, before joining the Law School in 1994. Her publications in Australia and Malaysia include articles on company law, contract law and feminist critique of unconscionability. In the last five years she has undertaken extensive research in relation to miscarriages of justice in South Australia. She has been involved in the development of the books "A state of injustice" (Lothian) 2004 and "Losing Their Grip — The Case of Henry Keogh" (Elvis Press) 2006. She has also been involved with a number of cases before the Supreme Court and the Medical Board in South Australia and is currently assisting with the appeal in R v Keogh to the High Court.
