Jenny joined Flinders Law School in 2006 after working at Adelaide Law School since 1996. Jenny has taught a wide range of topics over the years, but her heart remains with criminal law and family law, and in particular with criminal law reform and child protection. Jenny teaches Family Law, Issues in Criminal Law, and Principles of Criminal Law and Procedure. She is also a First Year Student Mentor and member of the Staff and Students Consultation Committee.

When not at Flinders Jenny lectures at UniSA (Magill Campus) teaching law to social work and social science students, and has also worked with the Research and Education Unit on Gendered Violence there on police responses to family violence. Her research interests include the relationship between the legal and human service professions and the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to human service law, and she has co-authored a textbook on that topic which is now into its second edition. Jenny is also undertaking a PhD at Flinders University on theories of justice and theology. When not at work Jenny has enjoyed wearing a variety of hats at different times including youth worker, mentor and part time community breakfast radio producer.
