Elliott Johnston Tribute Lecture and Alex Castles Memorial Legal History Lecture

2008

Professor Rosalind Croucher, Full-time Commissioner, Australian Law Reform Commission presented the Alex Castles Memorial Legal History Lecture, titled "'Carthago Delenda Est!'  Sir Robert Richard Torrens and his attack on the evils of conveyancing and dependent land titles - A reflection on the occasion of the sesquicentenary of the introduction of his great law-reforming initiative".
