School of Law: LLB/LP Honours
The method of obtaining an LLB or LLB/LP with Honours is a little different to most other degree programmes in the University. As in other Australian law schools, there is no additional "Honours year". Instead, Honours are awarded simply on the basis of overall performance in the law degree - although students have the option, if they so desire, of completing a major research assignment (a 10,000 word paper).
The topic LLAW 4042A Legal Research Paper will be available for semester 1 or semester 2 commencement.
Details as to the rules and procedures governing the Honours degree are set out in the document "LLB Honours - Policies and Procedures", from the Student Services Area, Law & Commerce Building, or available on the "Information for Students page"
Any queries about Honours should be directed to the Honours Co-ordinator, or to the Honours Administrative Assistant, Maxine Fourmy.
