Flinders Learning Online (FLO)

Instructions for Maintaining Teaching Team in Student One Web

Teaching team includes all lecturers and tutors (except the topic coordinator) and all admin staff working in a topic on FLO, or wanting send or receive the topic email list.

  1. Login to Student One Web (https://stuadmin.flinders.edu.au/login/t1tbmain.asp) There is a link in Citrix.
  2. Click “Student One” on LHS menu
  3. Click “Search for a Topic”
  4. Search for the topic by adding the Topic Number and year, click search
  5. Click the Topic Code of the topic you want to maintain
  6. Click the “Availability Number” you are looking to maintain
  7. In the middle of the page the “Teaching Team Details” are displayed – you can check the person is not already added to the topic.
  8. Near the bottom of the page click the “Maintain the Teaching Team…” link
  9. Add a person by clicking “Add new teaching team member’
    1. Press Search
    2. Add Name Details then press search
    3. List of people will display select the correct one
    4. Press the “Add the selected Staff Member…”
    5. Choose and appropriate role for the person (detail below)
    6. Press “Save the New Teaching Team Record”
    7. Done
  10. Delete – At Step “Delete the selected team member”

 

Roles for Teaching Team

The roles that you assign people in Student One have meanings for FLO - essentially Designer can upload files. So you might want to give Tutors the "Instructor" role if you want them to add files.
Admin staff should be registered as

  • FLO Assistant if they just need to look at topics and be in the topic email list
  • FLO Support if they need to add files to the FLO site.
