Faculty Planning Committee

TERMS OF REFERENCE
The Planning Committee has some overlapping membership with HAG but its focus will be different. 

The Planning Committee will:

  • be responsible for articulating the strategic directions for the Faculty of Education Humanities Law and Theology and communicating to the Executive Dean those directions which require funding;
  • set, monitor and evaluate the Faculty targets, where appropriate;
  • be a clearinghouse for new courses and new ventures;
  • be responsible for ensuring that Faculty priorities articulate with university priorities and are met;
  • identify areas of the Faculty which require special consideration.

 

GOVERNANCE
The Planning Committee will report to Faculty Board and, where appropriate, provide advice to Faculty Committees.

MEMBERSHIP
The Planning Committee membership will be as follows:

  • Executive Dean (Chair)
  • Heads of AOUs
  • Chairs of major Faculty Committees that include the Faculty Teaching and Learning Committee, the Faculty Research Committees, the Faculty International Committee and the Faculty Marketing Taskforce
  • the Faculty Associate Head of Community Engagement
  • Faculty General Manager
  • Faculty Deputy General Manager
  • Faculty Finance Manager
  • (Faculty) Information Communications Technology (ICT) and Flexible Delivery Manager

 

This group is enlarged, where necessary, when particular policy or administrative matters are discussed.

Person who is Acting in the role of members as listed above

MEETINGS
The Planning Committee will meet monthly
Meetings will start at  9:30 A.M. (unless otherwise advised)

Venue:  Education Humanities Law and Theology Meeting Room, Level 4, Room 427 in the Education Building
