Quiet seas, brilliant sunshine and smooth white sands provide the setting for the beach at Glenelg, which is only a short drive from the city of Adelaide. Now one of Adelaide's favourite residential areas, and served by the bustling shopping precinct along Jetty Road, Glenelg can be reached by the tram that travels from Victoria Square in the city. The ride is enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year, but it is also the preferred public transport for many commuters who can reach the city in 30 minutes without the hassle of highway traffic.

Although the beach is popular for fishing, swimming and windsurfing, Glenelg offers much more than just opportunities to laze on the sand. With a full-size replica of the Buffalo from South Australia's first fleet, and numerous cafes, shops and restaurants, Glenelg is a treasure trove for travellers and locals alike.

We have made reservations at two venues in Glenelg, a very popular seaside area, with good and varied restaurants and access to the beach and reserves. A shuttle bus between Glenelg and Flinders University will be available during the conference. In addition, Glenelg is on a direct line to the city by tram.
