Students study Drama at Flinders for many reasons. Some are training professionally in the Drama Centre to become performers and directors. Some are studying Drama as part of a teaching qualification. Others are curious to study a subject they enjoyed at school - or never had a chance to do at school. We provide opportunities to all these students.

There are performance topics for those wanting to learn practical skills and there are survey topics for those who like to study the historical and theoretical aspects of Drama. We do not assume prior study in Drama; for many students Drama was not an option at school.

To study Drama at Flinders, you must have a SATAC offer for the Bachelor of Creative Arts (BCA) or the Bachelor of Arts (BA). Students applying for the BCA must also be accepted at an audition. Auditions for the Drama Centre are held in November each year.

Some students study Drama for a fourth year to graduate with an Honours degree. Others then go on to further study at postgraduate level in a Master of Creative Arts (MCA) by coursework or in a Master of Arts (MA) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) by research.
