Associate Professor Diana Glenn, BA Adel, BA Hons (First Class) Flin, MA Flin, PhD UWA, DipEd Adel, FGLF08, Deputy Head of the School of Humanities and Coordinator of the Italian Section. Her research interests include: eighteenth century criticism of Dante; the role and significance of women in Dante's Commedia; Italo-Australian literature; issues involving women and the place of these issues in contemporary Italian fiction.
Dr Antonella Strambi, DottLett Milan, Cattolica, DITALS Siena, PhD Sydney, Lecturer and Director of Studies. Her research interests include the study of second language acquisition, media studies, translation theory and practice, and teaching methodology, with a particular focus on the use of computers and the World Wide Web to enhance language teaching and learning.
Dr Luciana d'Arcangeli, BA Hons (First Class) Univ. of London, MHRM Rome, PhD Strathclyde. Cassamarca Lecturer in Italian. Her research interests include: Italian theatre, with a particular focus on the theatre of Dario Fo and Franca Rame; interpreting and translation theory and practice; web-based language teaching and learning; contemporary Italian narrative and cinema.
Daniela Rose, BA Adel, BA Hons (First Class) Flin, University Medal Flinders 2002. Associate Lecturer in Italian. Her research interests include the history of Italian migration to Australia with a particular focus on culture maintenance and ethnic identity of Italian communities in South Australia. She is currently completing a doctoral thesis entitled "Making connections: the experience of the cauloniesi in Australia and in Italy" in the Italian Section, Dept. Languages, Flinders University.
