Digital Media
If you are interested in working creatively with digital media and exploring the connections between information technology and the creative arts, then our new Digital Media stream is for you.
The Digital Media course will equip students with the basic professional skills of digital media production and a broad knowledge of digital and screen media. They will develop a range of practical, critical and collaborative skills, complemented by the skills and knowledge acquired by students completing a major in the closely related 'theory' subjects. Graduating students will have a portfolio of their creative achievements that will allow them to gain employment in the arts and communication industries. They will also have the opportunity to form emergent production companies capable of project development.
Additional application requirements: Applicants for the Digital Media students will be required to provide a selection of examples of their use of digital technology to produce creative outcomes. This portfolio should demonstrate a strong interest in aesthetic creativity in this area rather than simply technical accomplishment.
