Admissions

Year 12 applicants must have qualified for SACE and obtained Recorded Achievement in at least five two-unit SACE Stage 2 subjects. Included among the five must be four HESS subjects (PES/PAS).

Non-school leavers from various backgrounds, such as tertiary transfers, TAFE, Special Tertiary Admission Test (STAT) and other access schemes are eligible to apply.

There are no prerequisites. However, as well as meeting the above requirements, applicants must show evidence of their ability, interest and potential. Special admission requirements for each of the three streams are covered in their relevant sections on this site. Application forms and detailed guidelines for the submission of portfolios and preparation for interviews and auditions are also available in those sections.

If you submit your application to SATAC before 30 September 2008, full guidelines and requirements will be mailed to you.

Alternatives

Because intake into the BCA is restricted, applicants may consider alternatives in the Bachelor of Arts, which offers majors in Drama, Digital Media Studies, English Literature and Screen Studies.
