Timor-Leste: Security, Development and the Nation-Building Agenda

This workshop drew together current thinking, experience and theory regarding nation-building, security and development in Timor-Leste, and how the nexus between these areas can be explored by the many parties working in Timor-Leste.
The workshop took place in the function rooms of the Art Gallery of South Australia in Adelaide, on Friday September 19th and Saturday September 20th 2008.

Publication of Papers from the Workshop
Six papers from the workshop have been published in a special issue of the journal Conflict, Security and Development Volume 9, issue 2, July 2009.
We are also proceeding with publication of an edited book that will include a larger number of the papers.
