McLaren Vale Historic Sites & Winery Tour

People who have booked to go on the McLaren Vale Historic Sites and Winery Tour will need to meet outside the Institute Building at the corner of North Terrace and Kintore Avenue in Adelaide at 8.30 am on Wednesday 24 September 2008. This is the conference venue and a map is available.
The bus will be leaving from Kintore Avenue and the tour will visit historic sites and wineries in Port Willunga, McLaren Vale and Willunga. Lunch is included. The bus will return and drop people at the Institute Building by 5pm in time for the opening of conference registration at 5pm. The schedule for the day is:
- 8.30 am Pick up in Adelaide and drive to Port Willunga
- 10.00 am Port Willunga walking tour - visit to Harbour Master's cottage, Uncle Tom's Cabin, Star of Greece wrecksite, 2nd jetty & fisherman's caves
- 11.30 am Visit to Penny's Hill winery - historic building and wine tasting
- 12.30 am Visit to Leconfield winery - wine tasting and lunch
- 2.00 pm Visit to Willunga Courthouse and Slate museum
- 3.00 pm Visit to a third winery - wine tasting (time permitting
- 3.30 pm Drive back to Adelaide
- 4.45 pm Drop at Institute Building

Tour of ST Yelta and Port Adelaide Lighthouse

| A free, self-guided tour aboard the South Australia Maritime Museum's historic steam tug ST Yelta moored in the Port River and a self-guided walking tour of Port Adelaide Lighthouse will be available for those interested. A reception will be held at the Museum following these activities and will include drinks and cocktail food. |
