Publication Opportunities for Students
MAMS
Too often, student theses and dissertations end up as "grey literature" - information that is unavailable to other researchers or the general public. To alleviate this, the Department of Archaeology at Flinders University has introduced the Maritime Archaeology Monograph Series (MAMS) to disseminate the findings of staff and student research to a wider audience. Students demonstrating a high level of competence in research are given the opportunity to publish their research through the MAMS series. Documents in the series are available for purchase. Please see the MAMS page for details.
FUMAN
The Flinders University Maritime Archaeology Newsletter (FUMAN) is an annual newsletter introduced to help disseminate the work carried out by students of maritime archaeology at Flinders University. Students are encouraged to write short articles for FUMAN describing research they are conducting and/or field work they have participated in. FUMAN is available for download: 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006.
