The Archaeology Department Archaeology home

The Department of Archaeology at Flinders University is one of Australia's leading centres for the study of archaeology.  Our courses are taught by internationally renowned staff with a wide range of specialist skills in many fields

The Archaeology Department at Flinders has six permanent full time staff , three general staff members, and a range of adjunct staff who from time to time visit to work with Flinders staff and students.

Undergraduate and postgraduate students are an equally important part of the Department. We are one of the only archaeology departments in Australia to offer students intensive and wide ranging fieldwork training and experience.  Staff and students are always involved in a range of exciting archaeological projects across Australia and every student has the opportunity to gain experience by working on real sites, starting in the very first year of their degree.
